INCHEON AIRPORT

ABSTRACT

I worked as a Concept Artist and Visual Designer on content for Incheon International Airport Terminal 2. My contributions focused on two immersive capsules:

Cloud Capsule: I designed a serene blue-sky environment and developed a “cloud machine” concept that generated dynamic, atmospheric cloud formations.

Pattern Capsule: I researched and created authentic South Korean patterns, which were later animated as digital assets to bring cultural richness and motion to the installation.

EXPLORATION

I spent a good amount of time researching the design style of the Cloud Making Machine, exploring different aesthetics, futuristic concepts, and references to scientific laboratory equipment to inform its visual direction.

FUNCTION

I considered the functional logic of the Cloud Making Machine, how it could realistically operate and sustain itself. I explored where and how the clouds would actually be generated, including the processes of water collection, vapor release, and waste management.
